The environment is this whole surrounding around you where you and many other living beings breath and live. In other words, take the environment as a huge bubble of the atmosphere where different biological beings stay together for survival and interact with each other. This is one of the easiest and crystal clear definition to understand the true meaning of the environment. Obviously when it comes for survival then Environmental protection is really necessary to survive together.
Global Warming
As time is passing, humans have been making certain developments that were necessary for their comfort more like extravagance rather than necessity. So, if you would have understood the definition of environment then it clearly tells us that this whole place is meant for mutual survival, not merely the survival of one of the species. Now when humans have developed different objects which added luxury to their lives, they have disrupted the balance of the ecosystem hence not only endangering the lives of other species but their own too. Environmental Protection is part of our responsibility.
With all these developments humans have increased the heat inside this bubble, and as a result, many harmful gases are simply trapped inside the atmosphere, causing damage to this world, and to themselves as well. These harmful gases also cause different diseases among humans. Among all these destructive gases, one is Hydrofluorocarbons which is coolant gas used in Air conditioners and refrigerators. Since there has been an ever-increasing use of Air conditioner nowadays, so obviously there has been an increasing amount of HFCs as well, and this only chemical is the reason for the destruction of the Ozone layer at a massive scale.
The ozone layer
The ozone layers basically a protective layer of gases that keeps this environment safe from any harmful rays outside in the space, but with HFCs, several holes have been created in this region, and as a result, this world is now facing many abnormal climatic changes and these abnormalities in the environment are known as Global Warming. Environmental Protection is a factor not to ignore.
Use of Plastics around the World
There is no doubt that our earth is now at the edge of being polluted, and there is a the possibility that if all the natural resources are being kept on used at the current rate, then in future the earth might not even be a suitable place for any living being. There are tons of pollutants on this earth, but the deadliest and most surviving one is the Plastic.
Even it has been researched that if humans suddenly disappear from this planet, then even after millions of years later when everything man-made will be decayed, still plastic products will be laying around in their original state. Every year millions of tons of plastic are dumped into the ocean, and then this whole trash just keeps on swimming in the water reaching far off lands, and landing on their beaches polluting them.
Right now, from common electronic products to your shopping bags, and common household products are made from plastic, and after they are useless to you then after that it is just an addition to the world’s landfill sites. You might have seen many videos about the destruction caused by plastics, especially to marine animals, and that is how it has endangered many marine species.
How can We Conserve the Environment? Starting from Home!
Obviously, after reading all the above facts you might be wondering how exactly you can help right from your house to contribute to Environmental Protection. So, first of all, remember that you need more and more plants because this planet needs its natural resources for its full recovery. It is not a task to be completed in a few years, but the number of destruction humans has caused to this planet, it requires several decades or even centuries to bring it back to its original state. Environmental Protection is
After this, you need to start recycling different objects like the food that has gone wasted, or the plastic products that you have purchased, and you have no idea that how many amazing ideas are there on the internet for recycling. Plus, you need to stop using plastic bags for shopping and instead try to bring a bag or basket from your home. After that, you need to stop wasting energy, because the more you use the more natural reserves are depleted.
Environmental Protection Act by UN
You are not alone in this mission, but organizations like the United Nation are also participating equally to manage things. Right now, the UN has formed more than hundreds of agreements and signed more than 50 treaties with their different partner nations to help in this matter and to ensure their involvement in earth’s protection.
How can We Reduce the Use of Plastic and Replace it with more Environmentally Friendly Options?
There is no doubt that plastic was not a part of human life in the past, and still, companies used to sell their products effectively. So those methods are needed to come back like for liquids like juices, and carbonated drinks instead of being packed in plastic bottles can be replaced with glass bottles once again.
As for plastic bags, you can replace them with any material that is bio-degradable material, either a basket or a cloth bag, even bee-wax coated bags are also reliable and can be used as the alternative. Small bamboo sticks can be used instead of straws, which can be later washed properly and can be reused. Similarly, there are tons of other options as well that are the perfect replacement for plastics.

What do you know about Environmental Justice?
The word Environmental justice was first time used in the United States of America in the 1980s. This was a movement for giving justice to issues related to the environment. This term refers to justice done by environmental agencies and concerned departments to maintain a balance between environmental benefits and environmental burdens equally shared by different concerned people. It shows equal/fair distribution benefits and burdens of environment irrespective of race, religion, language, region or financial status. All the people are supposed to follow the policies, law and regulations that are supposed to benefit the environment.
What is Environmental Management?
What do you know about Environmental Racism?
Environmental racism is a part of the environmental justice movement. This environmental racism refers to the injustice done on the basis of race-related to the environment. Like people suffer on basis of colour, religion, language mostly belonging to low socioeconomic and minority groups. They are badly affected by toxic waste, garbage dumps and foul odour which lower their quality of life. This environmental racism is being observed around the globe that week, minorities and socially poor people are most affected in terms of their health due to exposure from toxic waste and pollution.
